Based on the true story of Fang Gu (Zhou Xun), a school teacher, and the legendary, JinJin ?Blackie? Lau (Eddie Peng), Our Time Will Come recounts the exploits of the Dongjiang during World War II. Tasked with fighting against the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, this ragtag group of guerrillas recruits Gu, all against the wishes of her childhood sweetheart, Li Jinrong (Wallace Huo).
