Inspired by real events, the lives of German-Australian flight attendant Sofie Werner (Yvonne Strahovski), Afghani Ameer (Fayssal Bazzi), as well as Clare Kowitz (Asher Keddie), the new general manager of the Australian immigration detention centre and guard Cam Sandford (Jai Courtney) become entwined in this drama series co-created by Tony Ayres, Elise McCredie and Cate Blanchett.
