Noughts and Crosses (BBC One)

 

The adaptation of Malorie Blackman’s books is set in alternative 21st-century Great Britain named Albion where the native people are called Noughts. They are ruled by Crosses from an alternative African empire named Aprica that had colonized Europe 700 years ago. At the center of the drama is the forbidden romance between childhood friends Sephy ​Hadley (Masali Baduza), a Cross daughter of the home secretary and Callum McGregor (Jack Rowan), a nought son of the Hadley housekeeper.
