Despite being named after one X-Men spinoff team, the New Mutants movie is more like an x-factor. We don’t know how it’s going to be (despite the insistence that it’s coming at the end of August). We don’t know when it’s actually going to get released. We don’t know what Marvel superhero reality it’s going to take place in. We don’t even know if its potential success will even matter due to the bizarre nature of its existence. On…

New Venom Event Trailer Revealed by Marvel

For the last couple years, Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman have been putting together a pretty crazy and frankly must-read Venom ongoing series. Venom has a rather messy narrative history full of retcons and ideas that don’t sync well, so during his run, Cates has decided to cut into Venom lore like a surgeon with a chainsaw. Certain aspects of Venom’s past have been written out, like the idea that Eddie Brock had cancer or even a sister. Brian Michael Bendis’ attempt to rewrite the symbiote species as some kind of gooey cosmic knight armor created to protect the universe…

Christopher Nolan Revealed as MacGruber Superfan

The cast and crew of MacGruber celebrated the film’s tenth anniversary last week, and although the feature project, based Will Forte’s MacGyver-esque Saturday Night Live sketch, flopped on release in 2010, it’s since become a comedy cult classic. Forte tweeted an acknowledgement of the movie’s original fate last week, writing “On this day exactly 10 years ago, MacGruber started shitting the bed in the nation’s box offices. By the end of our 3 week theatrical run, not an inch of that bedset was salvageable. Even the mattress protector was soaked through.” The film doesn’t just have an enthusiastic fan base…
