The Northman Vikings Drama Begins Production in Ireland, Adds Björk to Cast

Robert Eggers’ new Northern European thriller just added some Icelandic authenticity to its credentials with singer and songwriter Björk joining the cast in an unspecified role. This puts Björk in a company of performers that includes Bill Skarsgård, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicole Kidman, Alexander Skarsgård, and Willem Dafoe, just in time as the movie begins its production in Ireland this week. Odeon and Cineworld Close All UK & Ireland Cinemas

Both Odeon and Cineworld have announced that all of their cinemas in the UK and Ireland, including Picturehouse venues, will be closed until further notice. The move to shutter the venues is in response to the growing coronavirus pandemic. The UK has confirmed 1,543 cases of the virus so far, and 55 people have died.
