Well aloha then!  Disney today announced that it is rebooting ‘90s ABC medical drama Doogie Howser, M.D. for its Disney+ streaming service. The announcement comes with a particularly unique twist, however, as the new series will follow a 16-year-old mixed race Hawaiian girl in the titular role. The show’s working title is Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.  The previously announced Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. has now officially been picked up to series will go into production later this year with Kourtney Kang (Fresh Off the Boat, How I Met Your Mother) writing and serving as executive producer.
