DC FanDome 2021 Will Deliver a Historic Batman Moment

If you’re tired of Batman, DC FanDome 2021 will have plenty to share about all the other superhero projects in the pipeline at Warner Bros. and DC Comics, including the upcoming Black Adam and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom movies. But if you’re like me and can’t get enough of the Dark Knight, then you should be doubly excited for this year’s virtual DC showcase, which will feature a series of projects with an unprecedented amount of live-action Batmen. I count four Bruces at this year’s FanDome, and that’s without even factoring in the upcoming Batman: Caped Crusader animated series.…

The DCEU is Alive and Well and Coming to DC FanDome

Count the DCEU out at your own risk. After eight years of doomsaying by critics (and some fans), hawk-ish box office watching, and yes, the occasional creative stumble, Warner Bros. shared universe of DC superhero movies is still thriving. And despite its commitment to only maintaining the loosest of continuity connections between its films, they aren’t blowing the DCEU up any time soon. Warner Bros. has announced this year’s installment of DC FanDome, it’s massive virtual event where they lay out everything the DC Universe has planned, from comics to video games to TV to movies. You only need to…

A high level of anticipation has surrounded the project ever since it was officially announced as coming to HBO Max next year, with Snyder himself dropping plenty of hints about what his four-hour cut of the film — which was initially rewritten, reshot and completed by Joss Whedon after Snyder stepped away to deal with a family tragedy — would look like. Wonder Woman 1984: New Fandome Trailer Reveals Cheetah

Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to the 2017 megahit starring Gal Gadot in the eponymous role, was originally meant to hit theaters in June. This obviously didn’t happen. The global outbreak of COVID-19 closed theaters and forced Hollywood studios to delay their summer tentpole releases (and to consider VOD release, as will be the case with Disney’s Mulan), lest they lose millions and millions of dollars. Now, we have a new date for the Wonder Woman 1984: October 2nd, and we’re finally getting some new #content to get us (even more) hyped about it. The gorgeous new trailer, released earlier…

DC FanDome to Reveal DCEU, Arrowverse, and More DC Universe Secrets

The comics world is still disappointed at the necessary cancellation of an entire year of conventions due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak in the United States. While more than half the fun of the comic con experience was being part of the joyful, sweaty mass of people wandering the floor and feeding off of each other’s excitement, a good chunk of that feeling was the hype of new movies, panels with beloved creators, and the flood of breaking news hurtling out of them. DC Entertainment is trying to capture some of that magic on August 22 with DC FanDome. Announced…
