Secret Invasion: Nick Fury Disney+ Series May be Biggest Marvel Event of All

Back in September news broke that Marvel was bringing a Nick Fury TV series starring Samuel L. Jackson to Disney+. At the time, it wasn’t clear what shape the series would take, since Fury had last been seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home zipping off into the depths of space on a Skrull ship. Despite the fact that Jackson’s Fury had a prominent role in that film (in terms of the stuff going on on Earth), it was revealed that it wasn’t Fury at all…but rather the shape-shifting Skrull Talos played by Ben Mendelsohn who Fury had aided and befriended during…

The patch notes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare‘s Season 6 update (1.27) have finally been revealed by Activision and Infinity Ward. Most of the major new Season 6 updates won’t be found in the technical patch notes. For instance, Warzone‘s Verdansk map has just been updated with a new subway system that lets you bounce around key points on the map. Warzone players are also now able to enjoy an Armoured Royale mode which is essentially a vehicle-focused take on Warzone‘s chaotic battle royale gameplay. Elsewhere, Modern Warfare fans can run around a couple of new multiplayer maps as…

New Venom Event Trailer Revealed by Marvel

For the last couple years, Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman have been putting together a pretty crazy and frankly must-read Venom ongoing series. Venom has a rather messy narrative history full of retcons and ideas that don’t sync well, so during his run, Cates has decided to cut into Venom lore like a surgeon with a chainsaw. Certain aspects of Venom’s past have been written out, like the idea that Eddie Brock had cancer or even a sister. Brian Michael Bendis’ attempt to rewrite the symbiote species as some kind of gooey cosmic knight armor created to protect the universe…

Event Horizon: Plans for Remastered Blu-Ray Release Unveiled

It seems a little hard to comprehend now, but Paul W.S. Anderson’s Event Horizon totally flopped back in 1997. The sci-fi horror project just did not find the audience it was looking for, but like many genre films, it went on to became a cult classic. Starring Sam Neill, Laurence Fishburne, Joely Richardson and Jason Isaacs, Event Horizon sends its characters to explore the titular ship, which disappears and then reappears after opening a rift in the space-time continuum. It’s all downhill for them after that, as a nightmare of discovery unfolds at a brisk pace. Of course, it’s set…
