SoulCalibur VI: Setsuka Revealed as New Character

On Friday, various Japanese fighting game developers joined together for a roundtable discussion about the state of the genre sort of designed to replace Evo Online, which got the ax earlier this year due to accusations lodged at the event’s CEO. The two-and-a-half-hour roundtable featured representatives from Capcom, Arc System Works, Arika, SNK, Koei Tecmo, and Bandai Namco Entertainment. While most of the roundtable came and went without many big reveals, Namco had just enough to keep people interested. The publisher finally had an announcement for SoulCalibur VI. The last piece of Season Pass 2 DLC we got was Samurai…

How Psych Evolved Through the Character of Carlton Lassiter

Early on in the Psych pilot, Shawn Spencer’s (James Roday Rodriguez) ludicrous plot to impersonate a psychic in order to solve crime suddenly takes on grave stakes: Chief Vick (Kirsten Nelson) informs him that if he’s lying, he’ll be prosecuted for hindering a police investigation. Just like that, he’s locked into his lie, and has no choice but to let it snowball—into a private eye business with his best friend Burton Guster (Dulé Hill), but also into a lucrative consultancy gig for the Santa Barbara Police Department that, psychic antics be damned, legitimately saves lives. But while it’s the Chief…

Black Widow to Hand the Baton to Florence Pugh’s Character

Black Widow may be biding time until a pandemic-pushed November release date, but director Cate Shortland is already teasing how the debut solo outing of Scarlett Johansson’s Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran is also set as a springboard for Florence Pugh’s debuting character, Yelena Belova. However, while…

In the movie, headlined by Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams, Stevens plays Alexander Lemtov, an outlandish Russian singer who seems to have a Eurovision win in the bag, but there’s a lot…

In this week’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story watch-along at IGN, screenwriters Chris Weitz and Gary Whitta had some trivia for fans who decided to revisit the downbeat standalone film along with them, including some alternate titles that didn’t make the cut, and more info on how some of the characters changed in both the initial writing stage and during production on Gareth Edwards’ Lucasfilm project, which was later heavily reshaped by co-writer Tony Gilroy. “There was one point at which we were kicking around titles for this, right?” Weitz said (via Comicbook). “Rogue One was a good choice…
