Riverdale Creates Its Own Church Because Why Not?

This Riverdale review contains spoilers. Riverdale Season 5 Episode 16 “Being canonized has always been one of my life’s goals.” And so it came to pass that Cheryl Blossom turned water into maple syrup. Goddamn Riverdale is glorious trash. In what is either very subtle marketing for The Eyes of Tammy Faye or just the best direction this show has taken since everyone was hopped up on Jingle Jangle, the Blossom family’s “Church of Jason” antics came into sharp focus this week. Although relegated to a B or C plot, this plotline — which works equally well as a satire…

Did Rangers of the New Republic Plans Change Because of Gina Carano’s Firing?

When Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy announced the future of the Star Wars live-action TV universe on Disney+, she named several new series spinning out of The Mandalorian. A series called Ahsoka would pick up where the Jedi’s cameo in season 2 of Mando left off, as she continued her search for Grand Admiral Thrawn. The Book of Boba Fett would follow the further adventures of the franchise’s foremost bounty hunter and the assassin Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen). Vince McMahon has no new ideas left. RAW is currently a sinking ship, with ratings setting record-lows week after week. Admittedly, in the middle of a pandemic, but the show is at an all-time low.  McMahon clearly has no idea what to do. This week on RAW the company introduced a new concept, RAW Underground, which consisted of Shane McMahon hosting a “fight club” in a warehouse somewhere, using a ring with no ropes. The no-holds barred fighting looked like a typical brawl in a WWE backstage segment. Nothing was new or fresh. The referee during the fights (underground fights…

Peter Rabbit 2 Release Date Delayed Because of Coronavirus Fears

Peter Rabbit hit theaters in February 2018 as a hybrid live-action/CGI franchise reboot that injected the classic stories of Beatrix Potter with contemporary energy. The result was a film that – akin to the stealthy precision of Peter in Farmer McGregor’s garden – quietly banked $115 million domestically, totaling $351.2 million globally, and was even the U.K.’s top family film of 2018, out-grossing Pixar’s Coco. Consequently, it didn’t take Sony Pictures long to consider Peter Rabbit 2, giving it the official greenlight and a 2020 release date; a move made just one month after the original’s release. Indeed, main cast…
